Dr Nor Haniza Abdul Wahat, PhD.

Dr. Haniza is a Senior Lecturer in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She earned her Bachelor of Audiology (Honours) from UKM (2001), Masters in Audiological Sciences from University of Southampton, United Kingdom (2003) and received her PhD specialising in Vestibular Diagnosis from The University of Western Australia (2011). She has just completed her Research and Clinical Fellowship attachment at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, University of Sydney, conducting a research on ‘Characteristics of Intractable Benign Positioning Vertigo’. Her research interests cover the subjective and objective vestibular assessments. Dr. Haniza’s current researches are mainly focusing on VEMPs, vHIT, static posturography and vestibular plasticity. Her specialities are in the areas of Vestibular Diagnosis and Management. Dr. Haniza is the Chairperson of the newly formed UKM Vestibular Team. She has continuously contributed significantly in establishing and managing the Balance and Vestibular Research Lab in UKM
